The British crowd is completely different from the crowds in America! I mean, she was greeted with applause and cheers, but there were so many awkward silences. I didn't see anyone groove the way I did and I felt almost embarrassed, but hey, there's a reason to go crazy and excited to see one of your favorite artists! It didn't help that my friends weren't into the music as much as I was. I was just glad to see her live because I've been wanting to see her live for so long.
She was so adorable and wonderful and ahh, I loved it. She opened up with Surgeon and surprisingly didn't end with Cruel, but came out for an encore and performed The Party and an outrageous experimental version of Your Lips Are Red. I forgot how good Save Me From What I Want was after she performed it. She is still always playing on repeat in my music library and I find her lyrics and her talent to be so darn inspiring.
The Fleece had so many random polls in the room. It kinda killed the view for me. So many bands have performed at that place though, like Bloc Party, Coldplay (in their younger days), Amy Winehouse and more.
Bristol is such a nice city. It has an urban feel to it and the university is beautiful! I will admit that I died a little while exploring the town because I liked it so much. It has enough city-esque elements that feeds my crave for city life. My friends and I ran into so many awesome vintage shops. We went to one called B58 and that by far has to be the best vintage store I've been to. I wanted to buy every single thing in that store, it was incredible! Also, BRISTOL HAS A MISSION BURRITO! Didn't eat there this time. My friends and I decided to buy groceries and cook at the hostel we stayed in.
My friends and I spotted a live Banksy painting while walking around town. I couldn't believe it!
Saturday night we spent the night watching British television, which was an experience for me and my friends considering we never saw it live. During the day we went to a museum. Sunday we headed to the famous Suspension Bridge and headed to town. This was also my first official train ride in the UK! The weekend was good, and Bristol was grand. I will definitely go and visit this city a couple more times before I leave.

I was gonna save the telephone booth photo for when I go to London, but I couldn't resist. I'll most likely be taking this touristy photo again once I visit London.
Until next time!

Lovely outfit in the telephone booth photo, Linda! I'm so jealous of the live Banksy! I hope to see one someday.
ReplyDelete@Christie Thank you Christie!! It was pretty epic. Hope to hear from you soon, I think I'll shoot you an email this week or so. :)
ReplyDeleteBristol is definitely on my list of places to visit thanks to an old British friend I have and Skins lol. Your pictures are so great, I hope I get to visit England one day! :) Also I wish I could go to more concerts, I've only been to one and that's because my sister won tickets, haha.
