TO A HIGHER PLANE is a place where I document my travels, everything including to pre-departure, during and after. The title is inspired by a song off of Kate Nash's second album that speaks about needing to change your life. The song constantly inspired me when I was in the process of applying to study abroad in Swansea, Wales. I continued to document my travels even after my 9 month stay in Europe, where I then made plans to travel to South Korea and now, New York City.

My name is Linda. I have a BA in Mass Communication and a minor in English and Film Studies. I currently work as a youth leader at an elementary school. In September 2014, I will be living in New York City where I will be pursing an MS degree in Publishing at New York University. I enjoy writing, reading, editing, concert-going and exploring. I love cultural topics, enjoy rainy weather and have an enthusiastic eye for design.
I obtained a sense of travel when I was very young. Traveling was never really encouraged in my life, but remaining in one place for so long made me eager to see the world. It wasn't until college I made the decision to make the dream of studying abroad come true. Now caught on the constant travel bug, I want to experience and see life through several other cultures and countries in the world.
