Packing seemed hard at first, but it got easier as time progressed. I'm glad my sister and brother-in-law lent me their vacuum pack bags. They're so handy! They condense all the air out, therefore leaving more space in the suitcase to pack more (the picture doesn't exactly show how condensed they are because I'm still sorting out my clothes). I did have to take away a lot of things I wanted to bring, but letting go of things that aren't essential feels pretty good.
Two weeks, two weeks! Yesterday morning was pretty productive and so was the day before. I took care of banking (the US portion), ordered my contact lenses, checked my status with CSUSB (found some holds) but I have no control over the hold and I have to wait until financial aid takes it off. Some kind of 'evaluation' is going on. I'm a bit worried, I just hope that I get my disbursement in time before I leave. I also have some exciting news to address, but I don't want to spoil it or say it until it's official, but I promise to write about it soon!
Swansea University added a 360 virtual tour of their accommodation and it's so cool! I got to see an example of how a standard room looks like and it looks neat. A bit cramped looking, but all good because I'll have a mini fridge provided! Course that's not all that I'm looking forward to. I found out recently from a person I met over tumblr, who will be in the same building as me told me that each floor is shared with 18 people A bit much for someone who is more introverted, but I want to become more extroverted, so this will help.
Also, these two bad boys will be coming in the mail in a week or so! A birthday/going-away gift. The adapter is actually not just a US/UK converter, but it can be used for all of Europe and even Australia. I can't really comprehend it by the looks of it but I'm very glad I will be having it because I'm looking forward to trips all around Europe. Also, the second photo is a Kinobo webcam. I've been eying that webcam since summer started and when I wanted to purchase it, amazon took it off their website! But now it's back up and just in time. The ratings for that camera seem really good. Plus, I love how the microphone and webcam is attached all together.
That's all for now. Will blog again soon!
Maybe we can webcam when you're in Swansea! I'm extremely shy with the webcam so I rarely use it, but I think it'd be awesome to talk to you over there, and for you to know I'm always here.
